A couple of years ago, nobody would have dreamt that Samsung, the Korean Electronic Giant, would one day become the number one, as far as smartphones are concerned. All of them were sure that nobody could compete with Apple, the Cupertino based company, and the pioneer of the smartphone. Many companies have tried to break Apple’s monopoly in this segment, albeit unsuccessfully. However, the latest phablet by Samsung, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, seems to have finally achieved the impossible.
Let us look what makes this phone stand apart from the rest. The slippery and delicate plastic casing has been replaced by two layers including an inner slip cover and an outside shell. The bright 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution 5.7″ touch screen display ensures that users can see text and images even in direct sunlight. It is amazing how the enginerrs have stuffed oodles or power and goodies in a phablet that is just 8.3mm thick. For starters, it contains 64GB of memory, with added support for microSD cards up to 64GB, free 50GB cloud storage, and is available in various colors such as merlot red, rose gold white, and rose gold black.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 can say goodbye to connectivity problems. This beast contains full dual band wifi capabilities along with TV out, MHL, microUSB, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, DLNA, and NFC. It also provides 2G, 3G, and 4G connectivity. A blazing fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, containing 3GB of RAM, powers this phablet along with an Adreno 330 GPU. This phablet comes preloaded with the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system. Its multi screen mode permits the user to share the screen between two applications. This is just the tip of the iceberg. With improved features such as handwriting recognition inclusive of predictive words, Samsung finally seems to have upped the ante.
